Chia Seeds vs. Hemp Seeds
Some of you may be wondering why I am ALWAYS adding chia seeds or hemp seeds to the recipes I use. I wanted to share the health benefits of these wonderful seeds. I also get asked frequently where I buy them, so stay tuned- I will insert a link where you can buy them on amazon.
Chia is an edible seed that comes from the desert plant Salvia hispanica, grown in Mexico. “Chia” means strength, and folklore has it that these cultures used the tiny black and white seeds as an energy booster. Chia seeds are a concentrated food containing healthy omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants and calcium.

Hemp seeds are the seeds of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. Hemp seeds are exceptionally nutritious and rich in healthy fats, protein and various minerals.
