How to Make Your Own Delicious and Healthy Lattes
The weather has changed (slightly) here in St. Louis and I am getting into the fall spirit! There is nothing better than a good morning latte, but that requires me sitting in line at Starbucks for WAAAAAAY too long and paying WAAAAAY too much for a drink that is filled with artificial sweeteners that just plays games with my blood sugar and mood. I wanted to share some ideas for you to start making your drinks at home, that will not only save you time and money, but you will feel energized and full after you drink them.
Simple and Easy Coffee:
I make this almost every morning in less than 1 minute while getting myself and my tiny children ready for the day (It is that easy).
-Brew 1 cup of coffee
-Add 1/4-1/2 cup (depending on how strong you like your coffee) of unsweetened non dairy milk (I typically use 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk).
- 1-2 tbsp coconut MCT oil (boosts energy and balances blood sugar)
Optional: 2 tbsp raw cacao powder (adds chocolate flavor and a boost of antioxidants)
Mix and enjoy.

1 scoop protein powder (I used a vanilla flavor).
1. Brew coffee
2. While coffee is brewing, melt (in microwave or on stove) coconut oil, almond milk and butter.
3. Pour brewed coffee in a bleder, add the remaining ingredients and blend on high for 10-15 seconds until creamy and frothy. (I used a hand mixer).
4. Pour in coffee mug and enjoy.
