Don't Let Your New Year's Resolution Slip Away So Fast

Do you find yourself already slipping on your New Year’s Resolutions? Do you already feel distant and not really connected to the goal you so badly wanted to achieve just 3 weeks ago? I want to share some tips on how to prevent the downward spiral that leads to falling

into the same old habits you are used to… ya know, the ones you swore off in the beginning of the year.

  1. Get your mind right: If you don’t meditate, I strongly encourage you to give it a try. Find yourself a quiet spot, a good smelling oil to diffuse while you meditate to improve your meditation powers and dive in! Meditate on those goals, and really dig into why they are important to you. Try it for at least a week and see how you feel. My favorite oils to diffuse during meditation include lavender (calming and relaxing), hyssop (stimulates creativity and meditation), valor (promotes feelings of bravery and confidence), and frankincense (enhances spiritual and meditative practices).

  2. Have a strong why- if you need help with goal setting watch my youtube video on how I set goals.

  3. Meal Prep is key! Try making large batches of food and portioning out your food ahead of time. You could make smoothies the night before, large salads 2-3 days in advance that you could easily put chicken into, beans, veggies, the possibilities are endless. Moral of the story- find healthy foods that you enjoy, that go a long way and keep in the refrigerator for a few days at a time.

  4. Have your weekly workouts penciled into your planner before the week starts and have a plan when you go to the gym (whether your gym is at home or at the actual gym).   5. Find an accountability partner! I cannot stress this enough.
